We are currently looking for a senior external communication specialist who wants to team up with us in Group Communication in an exciting role that will continue building Alfa Laval´s reputation as a global technology leader in the core technologies of; heat transfer, separation and fluid handling. Your main responsibility will be to create impactful communication to enable the perception of Alfa Laval as the transition leader in the energy, food & water and marine industry. About the job This senior communication role will lead and develop communication in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization. You will be a subject matter expert and be responsible for implementing business-driven communication activities to support the organization and the team in achieving its goals and objectives accelerated by communication. You will also work with communication development to make sure the communication landscape and ways of working are always in tune with business needs and contemporary at the same time. We work with an integrated communication agenda, and you will need to network and partner up with key stakeholders in various parts of the organization to succeed in the role. You will be part of External Communications in the Group Communications team, and report to the Head of External Communications. You can work from our head office in Lund or the office in Tumba or Soborg. Responsibilities: As part of the omnichannel editorial team, take global lead in the storytelling and creating impactful content for primarily external audiences and channels – media, investors, decision-makers, regulators, influencers, potential employees. Build and drive the international media network and nurture media stakeholders through impactful content that will clarify Alfa Laval’s role as a transition leader. Collaboration with a team of global communication colleagues in a matrix organisation, centrally in business units and locally in sales companies. Lead and take part in development projects, e.g. identify and implement tools and platforms that will enable the communications team to make the transitions needed to deliver on our strategy towards 2030. Take part and co-create the experience in external events like capital markets day, quarterly results communication etc. Who you are? As an experienced communicator, you possess a profound understanding of strategic communication, adept at crafting tailored messages that resonate effectively in a global and intricate business landscape structured within a matrix framework. You excel in leveraging strategic communication to drive business enablement while fostering empowerment and engagement among individuals. Your holistic perspective allows you to navigate complexity seamlessly, transforming it into clear and inspiring communication. With your attentive listening skills, you serve as a capable coach and advisor, influencing leaders and stakeholders to identify needs and devise optimal communication solutions, which you then execute flawlessly. Your ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across various business domains enables you to cultivate trustworthy relationships and robust networks. Guided by a collaborative mindset and an open communication style, you ensure that everyone remains informed and empowered. What you know A degree in communication, journalism, public relations or similar At least 10 years’ experience from similar strategic communication roles, with a proven track record of successfully making change happen. Possess a strong understanding of strategic communication and how to tailor effective communication in a global and complex business environment, Know communication methods and tools at a strategic, tactical, and operational level. Experience from global and complex matrix organizations, preferably a listed company Excellent verbal and written English.
